summary.
Hello, I'm Anabelle Lee. (Yes, I'm named after that Edgar Allen Poe poem with the dead girl.) I'm a writer with a fondness for art and a huge passion for videogames.
I was originally trained in the sciences and entered Carnegie Mellon University for undergraduate studies as an electrical engineering major. However, I quickly realized that engineering was a poor fit for me and fled like a coward -- ultimately ending up anchoring myself in the writing deparment like a barnacle on a whale. There, I took a double major in creative writing (focused mostly on prose with some screenwriting on the side) and professional writing (technical writing and document design), graduating in May of 2011 with a BA. I also attended classes in the design department due to my interest in graphic design and illustration.
Pretty much immediately afterward, I started studying at Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center as a MET (Master in Entertainment Technology) candidate, where I graduated in May of 2013. Though I functioned mostly as a 2D and texture artist, which was an interesting new field to go stumbling into, I still maintained my passion for writing.
